1. For a unique identification number, make an application in Form D-2 on Digital sky platform with a fee.
2. Pilots have to fill the requisite details along with the unique number of the certificate type.
3. Now, the Digital sky platform verifies the details and issues a unique identification number.
4. This unique identification number of the drone will be linked to the unique serial number that the pilot gets from the manufacturer.
5. Also, the operator has to give a unique serial number of the flight control panel along with the remote pilot station.
6. The rule suggests that these should not be replaced by flight control, a remote pilot station unique number as it is now linked to system identification.

Moreover, there is a list of credentials that the user has to produce for drone registration in India. It includes

1. Name, address and PAN details of the owner
2. Drone model number, and serial number
3. OEM certificate that manufacturer gives to the user
4. NPL letter that includes  manufacturer name,address, and origin country.

There are also guidelines to register yourself as pilots and owners of drones in the country. In addition, for pilots, you need to upload the certification, and other documents via digital sky for unmanned Aerial Pilot Licence (UAPL). Also, the e-KYC should be completed before the license issue. So, to get this number, there is a fee of Rs 1000 on the website. Moreover, if you are getting an Unmanned Aircraft operator permit (UAOP) , you need to pay Rs 25,000. And, for the renewal of the UAOP, there is a fee of Rs 10,000.

Rules for flying after drone registration in India

If you are flying your drone in India, you have to follow the rules to enable the function properly.

1. Drone must be registered except the nano drone category.
2. Drone pilots must have direct visual line of sight.
3. Before every flight, the pilot needs to seek permission to fly through a mobile app abiding by the No permission, No takeoff (NPNT) System.
4. If the pilot tries to fly without permission, take off will not be possible.
5. Flying drones in No Fly zones is strictly prohibited.
6. Flying with hazardous materials, alcohol or drugs is not permitted.
7. If you want to fly a drone in controlled airspace, you seek permission by filing a flight plan and get a unique Air Defence clearance (ADC) or Flight information center number.
