Should You Upgrade from DJI mini 2 to DJI mini 3 non-pro? Dronephi
DJI has recently launched its 3rd generation mini drone, a non-pro DJI mini 3. Mini-category drone match many drone lovers’ interest who don’t wants to take the headache of drone registration. Due to its weight below 250 grams, in many countries, you can fly it without doing any registration on the government portal.
After mini 2, DJI launched mini3 pro, which is more costly than the mini 2 fly more combo. The Mini 2 fly more combo is $599, whereas the mini 3 pro fly more combo cost around $948.
Mini 2 was the major upgradation from DJI mini under the mini-series. It first introduced 4k from 2.7k in this category. DJI mini 3 is an entry-level camera drone which you can use as a content creator who wants to travel anywhere without worrying about a drone rules and regulations.

DJI mini 3 non-pro model comes with 12MP 1/1.3 inch CMOS sensor, whereas mini 2 is equipped with a 12 MP 1/2.3 inch CMOS sensor. But Both drones can capture 4k video with 30fps, which is ok in this price range, but there are better options for recording dynamic video.
Aperture for mini 3 is f/1.7 but for mini 2 it is f/2.8
But there are some advantages, mini 3 can shoot in verticle mode, unlike mini 2, and The Single Shot mode supports outputting HDR images.

Max hovering time increased by 4 mins; in Mini 2 it was 29 mins, but in mini 3 it was 33 mins.
